Tract Company with German partners AVT are going to show an entire digital studio, from the mixing console to the transmitting antenna, with DAB+ format broadcasting at the first Digital Broadcasting Congress on May 18 at LENEXPO.
On April, 17th, 2018, there was a meeting of the State Commission for Radio Frequencies (GKRC). The Commission decided to allocate a radio frequency band of 175,872-228,128 MHz for the introduction of terrestrial broadcasting in accordance with the DAB + standard. The specialists of the Tract Company promptly reacted to the new challenge of the market, so we are ready to show the first fully digital broadcasting complex in Russia to the participants of the Congress.
It is worth noting that our team has extended the functionality of the Digispot II software in a very limited time. Improvements allow us to integrate not only metadata into the stream, but also images that are displayed on the subscriber's receiver.
Our partner from the German company AVT, Sales Director Wolfgang Peters, will talk about the experience of implementing the DAB+ system on the ARD radio in Germany, and will also take part in round tables and discussions of the Congress.
The broadcasting complex, which we’ll be presenting in the exhibition area, works as follows:
• signals from two programs with metadata and images (PAD) will be generated by the Digispot II automation system;
• they will then go to the mixing console, and from there to the pair of MAGIC AE1 DAB+ Go Audio Encoder encoders via the AES / EBU interface;
• the generated EDI stream will be sent to the MAGIC DABMUX Go Multiplexer, the so-called ensemble multiplexer, which can be connected to both a transmitter with DAB+ support and a small transmitting antenna. By the way, AVT MAGIC DABMUX Go Multiplexer is the smallest device that forms the multiplex of its kind.
Thus, we implement the support of a completely digital path: from the microphone to the transmitting antenna.
You can learn more about the DAB+ standard and be consulted on how to choose the equipment for the digital complex by our colleague Mikhail Efimov, the leading engineer of the system integration department. If you want to know about how to integrate the automation system into the complex with broadcasting in DAB+ format, the head of the technical support and sales department Peter Molchanov will be ready to share his knowledge and experience.
The Congress of Digital Broadcasting will be held on May 18 at LENEXPO, in the 4th pavilion. The beginning of the business program at 10:00. More information about the event you can find on the website of the Association of Digital Broadcasting: ацрр.рф.
We will be glad to meet you at the event!
